Interviewing the division manager at Karluk Manor supplied our group with enough information to complete our agency profile.  Almost all of the information in the agency profile came from this interview.  I am planning on incorporating this source into the paper with the introduction of the Karluk Manor agency.

Koroloff, N. M., & Anderson, S. C. (1989). Alcohol-free living centers: Hope for homeless alcoholics. Social Work, 34(6), 497-504. Retrieved from http://search.proquest.com.proxy.consortiumlibrary.org/docview/215270284?acc ountid=14473

The article above explains the difficulty for alcoholic individuals to remain sober without shelter or a place to live.  In the article is also produces statistics from studies done, showing the results of individuals after treatment.  We will use this article to show stats on the studies done on alcoholic homeless individuals.

McCarty, D., Argerio, M., Huebner, R. B., & Lubran, B. (1991). Alcoholism, drug abuse, and the homeless. American Psychology, 46(11), 1139-1148. doi. 1037/0003-066x.46.11.1139

The article above goes over the studies that alcohol abuse affects 30 to 40% of homeless people while drug abuse only affects 10 to 15%.  As well as the fact that alcohol and drug free housing is important for the successful recovery of the homeless individual.  We will use this article in our paper to show statistics and the importance of alcohol free living centers.

The article above talks about the idea of building a homeless campus for Anchorage in Kincaid Park on the west side of the city.  In the article it shows how much the proposed housing compound would cost.  Brad will use references from the article for the cost benefit analysis portion of the paper.

Shedlock, J. (2013, October 5). Karluk Manor in Anchorage drinking less, staying off the streets. Alaska Dispatch. Retrieved fromhttp://www.alaskadispatch.com/article/20131015/karluk-manor-residents-anchorage-drinking-less-staying-streets

The article above talks about the building of the new housing program called Karluk Manor and how the residents in the program tend to drink less.  The article also talks about the issue the people of Fairview have with the location of Karluk Manor.  We plan to use quotes out of the article to give the overall idea of our paper credibility.

The abstract will be a quick summary of our paper. It will start with the introduction and thesis of the paper.  Then we will include the problem analysis and the plan for solving the problem.  A brief explanation of the cost analysis then to finish it off a conclusion to our proposed solution.
